Note: Thallus up to 15 cm long, branched and flattened. The species is distributed north to the county of Troms in Norway, grows sublittorally and can be found as an epiphyte on stipes of Laminaria hyperborea. It is easily recognized by the branching pattern, with series of last order branches placed adaxially
