Note: Creeping, uniseriate filaments on or inside cell walls of other algae (e.g. Polysiphonia stricta, Cladophora rupestris), which may unite to pseudoparenchymatic tissue. Cells have irregular shape, and brown algal hairs lack. Plurilocular sporangia develop in neighboring cells.
